pi STRATEGY was invited to help assess key challenges and develop a go-forward strategy. The biggest challenge stemmed from inefficient value chain integration issues across collection, processing and distribution. A fairly complex mathematical optimization model was developed to help assess the optimum levels for each of the three key value chain components. Furthermore, a set of new product ideas were also developed, with detailed future scenario projections.
Some of the new products have already been successfully launched. The optimization model has led to rethinking their existing collection strategies, as well as procurement of new processing equipment to enhance their competitiveness in the market.
Since its early collaborations with the client yielded impressive results, pi STRATEGY has been invited during each of the strategy review and formulation exercises the client has conducted in subsequent years.
